Running for Governor
Paulette grew up on a farm in northern Idaho, where she developed a strong connection to our state’s land and the people who share it. A proud member of the Coeur d’Alene tribe, she was raised to fight for the needs of her community and to protect our priceless natural resources. If elected, Paulette Jordan would be the first Native American governor in the United States, and the first female governor of Idaho.
Paulette’s platform includes:
An opt-in statewide universal preschool program, fair teacher compensation, and affordable higher education.
Healthcare for all, including expanding Medicaid to cover the 62,000 Idahoans left in the coverage gap.
Ensuring that public lands stay in the hands of the public. Raising the minimum wage.
Combating climate change.
Expanding broadband internet access to rural areas so they can connect and thrive in the modern economy.
Protecting the rights of LGBTQ+ folks.
